    I have owned a couple of Onkyo Home Stereo Components for 16 years & been very happy with their performance. I bought this DX-C390 mainly for its ability to play MP3's from the 6 disk turn-table changer. While a single disk unit may be able to play a slightly better sound quality for audiophiles...     Upon initial installation and power up, the display showed something like "ERROR MECHANICAL" and nothing would work. Before packing it up for return, I unplugged and re-plugged the power cord and the fault disappeared. The unit played as advertised: all functions seem to work.     • Sounds good on its' own - sweet with natural detail, good value, operation, coaxial output
    • The last half octave of bass is subdued, but, only critcal listening reveals any difference.
