With an RRP of £159 the Sony W570 is an affordable camera that can be picked up a little cheaper at some online stores. Although there are other point-and-shoot compact cameras that can be picked up for a little less money, the Sony's overall slender design and finish give it that attractive edge. The Sony Cyber-shot W570 is an okay ultra-compact digital camera, but definitely not one of Sony's strongest efforts. On the plus side of the ledger, it's sleek and portable. It's a no-brainer to use with a helpful In-Camera Guide a button-press away to assist you. While there's not much in the way of features, the Sony W570 does offer Sony's innovative Sweep Panorama and DRO Modes. On the down side, focusing was often problematic both for stills and video. I recently purchased this camera during the Thanksgiving weekend. I am Canon customer and this is the first time I have tried a Sony camera....just for a change. I am disappointed by this camera. The display is very blurred, but picture quality isn't that bad. The worst thing which I didn't like in this camera is that it takes too long to take a snap after you click the button. This little camera packs a big punch. It takes beautiful clear photo's and also makes clear sharp movies. It's light and easy to carry. it has a large view screen area. The first day I was amazed by the image quality, those 16 megapixels works very good on taking extremely sharped photos. The panoramic option is awesome because it is very easy to use! Forget about the time you had to take several pictures and then match them on some software or more recently when we had to be very careful about the end of one frame and the begining of the next one. When my boyfriend lost his camera on a work night out there was no way I was going to let him borrow my Nikon P100 to take on a stag weekend. Not only is it too expensive to lose but I’m not too sure he knows enough about DSLR cameras to be let loose with it.
