   • Mittpelaren löper dåligt, nyper fast. Man får lossa skruven onödigt mycket för att kunna justera höjden

   This tripod is pricey and perhaps overkill for my needs, but it's an outstanding combination of stability and mobility. It's my first 4-section unit. It's light and compact. Setup isn't appreciably longer than with 3-section versions. This thing is secure and stable. Quality is first-rate. I'm 5'9" and there's more max height than I'll ever need.    I have owned this tripod for 2 years now. Used it on many hikes and in blinds. I used to use a similar Manfrotto tripod made of aluminum. I really appreciate the lighter weight after a 12 mile hike. This is very sturdy and does a good job of getting low to the ground. It becomes unstable if you try to use it lower than the center column height unless the center column stays at the center of the unit. I have used it as low as 6" and the legs mostly retracted.    I do lots of hiking and I needed a reliable, lightweight, affordable, easy to use, tripod. I was looking at the Gitzo Basalt and CF but was unsure how well the twist locks would hold up to the dirt,snow, and ice we have here in Wisconsin. I also didn't like that if something hit the basalt then it would make a loud clang. I don't want the wildlife to know I'm there. I wanted light weight design so carbon fiber was my only option.
