   This is the first quality tripod I've purchased. So far, it works as advertised. I'm using a Canon EOS Rebel T1i w/ this tripod and it holds the camera with zoom lens securely. Can be converted to macro photography easily, and Vertical and horizontal positioning is relatively smooth. There are several pan heads that can be purchased separately for use on this tripod.
