   My old tripod finally fell to pieces after over 20 years of loyal service so I needed to replace it with something that I thought would stand the test of time and rigourous outdoor use. A couple of my friends had been using this model of tripod for over a year with large DSLR's and Bigmas and were always singing its praises, so I took the plunge and bought one.    I studied tripods for weeks. I did not want to spend a lot of money, but wanted features of more expensive tripods. I took this on a week trip through Maine taking pictures of lighthouses and the shoreline. This tripod did all I wanted and I am very satisfied. I would recommend it to the first time buyer.
