   Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D is a pretty solid lens, that despite its aging design still manages to show some character. Image resolution is quite decent on both APS-C as well as FF cameras with one notable exception - f/1.8 (and f/2 to some degree) are the weak points. The lens struggles a bit here and while resolution is not everything, other characteristics, such as flare, vignetting, axial CA, also leave room for improvement (quite a bit of room).    Köpte detta klassiska objektiv begagnat och har haft tur att få ett bra exemplar. Det är suveränt lätt att ha på kameran eftersom det är litet och lätt. Och framför allt är det skarpt och ljusstarkt och ger bra (=litet) skärpedjup vid full öppning. Känns som att det kommer att sitta på för jämnan. På min D300 som har DX sensor blir det utsnitt ungefär som 125 mm på småbild. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

   While a 1.4 would be nice, this 1.8 is really all most people need... It is small, relatively well built, and has a fast autofocus (camera-body dependent).    As a portrait photographer, I needed a lens that helped me to throw a lot of background out and create a strong image of the people in my shots.<br /><br />This lens does exactly what I want it to do.    Nikon har byggt ett objektiv som ger dig i stort sett samma bildkvalitet som proffsgluggen för tredubbla priset. Denna kommer till korta bara i dåliga ljusförhållanden om din kamera har dx-sensor. Med en fullsensorkamera har man samma ljusstyrka och kan gå upp rejält i ISO och därmed ligga på låga bländarvärden för att få till ett härligt kort skärpedjup, precis som man vill ha det i ett bra porträtt för att lyfta fram ögon och främre ansiktsstruktur.
