There is no way of avoiding the fact that, at £1,500, this is a very expensive lens. Readers with smaller budgets may prefer to consider the £900 previous-generation (non-G) f/1.4 alternative, or even the sub-£400 f/1.8 version. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

The Nikkor AF-S 85mm f/1.4G was announced August 2010. It's the longest of four prime lenses sporting an f1.4 focal ratio in Nikon's current range, with the 50mm, 35mm and 24mm completing the line-up. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
Even two years ago the suggestions about refreshing the whole shorter prime lenses’ line-up were among wishes the most often made when it came to the launches of new Nikon instruments. an awesome update to an already great lens from Nikon, tack sharp wide open with wonderfull bokeh to out of focus areas. Stopping down just increases depth of field. The 85 mm F1.8D lens is one of the Nikon bargains. (3X less costly) This lens is fast, fairly small, and it focuses quickly and accurately, nice bokeh and render good skin tones. It is bit soft at wide open but works great for portraits. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
