   The Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital 14-150mm f/4-5.6 ED is the first Micro Four Thirds lens tested by us, and it has left us with a favourable overall impression. While this lens is obviously not in the same class as the primes and high-grade zooms we have reviewed so far, it is actually pretty amazing for a superzoom.    I have been using this lens on my E-PL2 for a few moths already (I got it as a kit lens), and I would like to compare it with the double zoom kit I had on my previous Olympus E-510 (14-42 + 40-150). First of all - is much more light and compact, and, better then all, is just one lens, with less need to swap lenses (btw, I still swap lenses if I want to use prime lenses or the excellent full FT-sized 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 II Zuiko lens) Compared to the E510's dual-zoom kit,...    • Light, small, good IQ and DoF control for a travel zoom
   • Zoom too stiff for smooth movie recording, visible corner CA when using the macro adapter

   This is an excellent all around lens and you can get spectacular results, but it takes some practice to learn the quirks and get around them. When you use this lens, your camera *has* to be in A (Aperture Priority) mode for the best results. From 14mm to around 35mm, you should stop it down one stop to get sharp results (F/5.6). From around 35mm to around 80mm, you can soot wide open, but then from 80mm to around 130m you have to stop down to f/8. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
