   The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 CS Fisheye is certainly a more than welcome addition to the Sony NEX system. The near-stereographic projection doesn't look quite as extreme as in conventional fisheye lenses despite the similar field-of-view so its applications are in fact broader.    At such a price you can’t expect everything and as such, it’s manual focus only and the aperture has to be set via the aperture ring on the lens, rather than through the camera. That means you’ll need to shoot in Manual mode. On the up-side it gives an 8mm equivalent focal length of 12mm on a full-frame D-SLR and offers a 180º angle of view (167º on a Canon APS-C D-SLR).    This Pro-Optic 8mm f/3.5 is among the best fisheyes I've used.    Mycket mycket rolig optik. Jag har inga som helst problem med att den är helt manuell, ska man inte fota något på nära håll och man har gott om ljus så är det bara att ställa bländaren på 8 och fokusen på 2-3 m och klicka. Hade varit trevligt med lite information till bildfilen men det är väl egentligen bara "lyx". Lite förvånad över byggkvaliteten också, långt mycket bättre än vad jag hade vågat hoppas på.    This lens is excellent. I bought it for using with my Olympus 4/3 bodies. The quality of the lens is very good, and I like that it has a metal mount. The optics are great. I found that it lacks of flare! The distortion is very nice, as expected for that kind of lens. You can control the distortion as well. Focus is something you really don't care.    Riktigt roligt objektiv som gör det de ska. Gluggen är helt manuell och förmedlar ingen som helst information till kameran. AF är bara onödigt när det finns hyperfokal. Bländaren får du ställa manuellt också. Fotat en del skate med den och det funkar bra, man kan komma riktigt nära inpå åkaren. Det enda negativa jag har att säga är att bländarringen kunde ha varit lite trögare. På bländare f/3,5 är bilden inget vidare, men på f/5,6 och uppåt blir det riktigt schysst.    Visst kändes det som en chansning att köpa ett, för mig, okänt märke av fisheye optik. Men herregud, vilken glugg! Knivskarp utan CA och nästan obefintlig hörnvinjettering. Vadå manuell fokus?
