   The new Sigma 10-20 mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM leaves us with mixed feelings. The build quality of the lens is certainly excellent, distortion is a little high at the wide end (but excellent for the rest of the zoom range), there's also a fair amount of vignetting and CA, but that's typical for this lens class.    Sigma 10-20 mm f/3.5 turned out to be better than its predecessor in many serious aspects. We have really good speed now – in this category Sigma is only beaten by Tokina 11-16 mm f/2.8. Most of all, however, was corrected the behavior at the edge of the frame, which was the Achilles’ heel of the older model. The performance at the center of the frame wasn’t forgotten, either.    Great lens, compares very favorably to my Canon 17-40 that cost much more. The set 3.5 is great! There is very little distortion (bulging/curving) and good sharpness even at edges. As long as you keep the camera level, all verticals remain straight. Only thing that could be an issue is the auto focus, it's kinda slow.    This lens is so wide it takes some getting used to. To get something in frame, that you'd normally shoot from say 5m away, this this lens needs you to practically be touching the subject - IT HAS THAT WIDE A FIELD OF VIEW. Very cool and great for landscapes, but it does distort the image at the edges though. Nothing that can't be rectified later. Well worth it. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

   to begin with; i started photography about a year back would still consider myself as a amateur photographer, but to see the issue with this lens a person should just have a good eyesight.... The lens I received had no focus issues as other have had and pictures comes out really good except that every single shot I took with this lens has small wave of circle at the center and i took several shots over 7 days of aurora borealis and every single photo has this issue...    Mycket välbyggt, tyst och snabb AF (HSM), ordentlig väska ingår. Bildmässigt mycket bra vid 20mm, tappar lite i kanterna på 10mm (väntat). I vissa situationer är ett vindvinkel nästan ett måste, men enligt mig kostar det lite mer än vad det smakar. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
