I have used the Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 II DC HSM lens in a semi-professional manners photographing young children's soccer teams and for pleasure doing family and travel type photography, with great success. It is truly a one-lens-does-all. The lens adds minimal weight to the setup.
