   In terms of features versus value for money, this lens has to be the telephoto bargain of the century to date. With both a sonic focusing system and an optical stabilisation system, the two of which work well, coupled with a good optical performance and reasonably compact dimensions, I can see this optic finding a lot of suitors.    The Sigma APO 150-50mm lens is a moderately fast, super-telephoto zoom designed to work with both APS-C and full-frame DSLR cameras.    It is really difficult to sum up this lens’s performance in a objective way as there is practically nothing you can compare it to. The only rival in its class is the Tamron 200-500 mm and we haven’t had the opportunity to test it so far. Honestly, the Sigma 150 –500 mm is one of the cheapest ways to get 500 mm focal length and a working autofocus system. Of course there are other ways to achieve it but they are always pretty tricky.    I wanted to have a super 500mm zoom lens for my Pentax for a very long time but the cost of the zoom lens was higher than my DSLR camera body. So I waited thinking the lens will come down in price. Finally I decided to buy one on EBAY. The lens is good quality but very heavy. You need to carry it separately.    Use this lens for wildlife and telephoto landscape work. Whilst it is not the fastest lens, for the price you cannot go wrong. I have already shot some pin sharp images with this.<br />It is heavy, so would recommend a monopod if you are holding it for any length of time. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

   I use this lens with two different Nikon bodies - a D200 and a D300s. I find it to be a good compromise between physical size and focal length. It is still small enough for hand-held shooting under most circumstances and yet big enough to be well balanced on a tripod with your camera mounted. Build quality is quite good for the price.
