In terms of features versus value for money, this lens has to be the telephoto bargain of the century to date. With both a sonic focusing system and an optical stabilisation system, the two of which work well, coupled with a good optical performance and reasonably compact dimensions, I can see this optic finding a lot of suitors. If you want the pulling power of a 500mm in a manageable package, this one should be at the head of your compare list! Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
The Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3 DG OS HSM superzoom has the most important aspect of any modern long-focus lens – an efficient AF drive system. This is very much the Sigma superzoom’s forte. As well as being quick its motor is also quiet and acts internally, so the manual-focusing ring remains motionless but can still be used at any time to make adjustments. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
The Sigma APO 150-50mm lens is a moderately fast, super-telephoto zoom designed to work with both APS-C and full-frame DSLR cameras. It offers quite useful close focusing (7.2 ft) and two modes of what they deem "optical stabilization" (OS.) Weighing in at 67.4 oz you always know its there, but then again this is one impressive piece of glass. I recently worked with the lens in northern New Mexico. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
It is really difficult to sum up this lens’s performance in a objective way as there is practically nothing you can compare it to. The only rival in its class is the Tamron 200-500 mm and we haven’t had the opportunity to test it so far. Honestly, the Sigma 150 –500 mm is one of the cheapest ways to get 500 mm focal length and a working autofocus system. Of course there are other ways to achieve it but they are always pretty tricky. The focal range of this optic will generally appeal to budding wildlife photographers after that extra bit of reach, without the expense of manufacturers own offerings, or the inconvenience of prime lenses. Photographers looking at this lens may also be tempted by Sigma's 120-400mm offering, which costs around £100 less, but is 100mm shorter at the long end. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
This lens renders sharp photos and because of image stabilization, it is possible to get great shots even if you do not have a tripod. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
I wanted to have a super 500mm zoom lens for my Pentax for a very long time but the cost of the zoom lens was higher than my DSLR camera body. So I waited thinking the lens will come down in price. Finally I decided to buy one on EBAY. The lens is good quality but very heavy. You need to carry it separately. It doesn't fit in my special DSLR carrying case. It's also not auto focus. So overall I am happy with my purchase. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
Fick hem objektivet idag, så jag har inte hunnit hårdtesta det än. Men jag måste säga att jag är jäkligt imponerad så här långt... Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
Use this lens for wildlife and telephoto landscape work. Whilst it is not the fastest lens, for the price you cannot go wrong. I have already shot some pin sharp images with this.<br />It is heavy, so would recommend a monopod if you are holding it for any length of time. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
I use this lens with two different Nikon bodies - a D200 and a D300s. I find it to be a good compromise between physical size and focal length. It is still small enough for hand-held shooting under most circumstances and yet big enough to be well balanced on a tripod with your camera mounted. Build quality is quite good for the price. This lens feels solid and strong. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
