   I recently started putting together a little "survival" kit. Started with basics...iodine tablets, water, water purification tablets, dehydrated food, etc. I was looking thru Emergency equipment and realized I needed a radio. Thought battery powered, but then realized after reading thru several radios that a "gyro" powered was essential.    This is a GREAT little radio! It has really nice sound for a portable radio. The reception is great on both AM and FM. I listen to alot of sports radio and usually have a difficult time pulling in signals where I live (especially at night), but with this radio.....loud and clear,no drifting. I also like the idea of having the crank to use if your batteries die. My only complaint with the back-up battery pack is that it is internal. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

   This was my second attempt at finding a portable emergency radio. I previously bought a Kaito KA1102BLK radio, sent it back and bought this. I think I found a keeper. On the plus side: This is a solidly built, simple, radio. Sound quality is good, and the unit feels just right in the palm of your hand, the crank seems like it will last.
