   A few months after discovering the world of high-end headphones I auditioned two of Sennheiser’s HD series, the HD 600 and the HD 800, side-by-side in a local hi-fi store.    Målad plast! Allmänt klent byggda. Ej neutrala med överdrivet lägre diskantregister som ger en falsk känsla av öppenhet. Men mer information finns ej i musiken. Basen entonig och saknar tryck/djup. Påstådda effekten att ljudbilden ska ligga utanför och framför huvudet, stämmer inte. Ljudbilden kvar inne i huvudet.    The HD800 is currently at the top of the Sennheiser line, and by some commentators perhaps one of the best dynamic headphones ever. - On arrival, the HD800 comes in a black wooden box that is foam-padded with luxurious velvet. It also contains a full-color, richly detailed booklet. - The HD800 is rather bulky, even a bit heavy. At the same time, the weight helps increase the isolation - but it's also an open phone.
