Using the MX5500 Revolution has made me quickly forget my old trusty mouse and keyboard. The keyboard is comfortable, responsive and customizable.    At $170, the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5500 Revolution is far from being a bargain basement offering.    The mouse included in the package is Logitech’s MX 900 which is a Bluetooth version of it wired MX 500 cousin. Again the mouse is jam packed with additional buttons to play with. You’ve got two thumb buttons that allow backwards and forwards actions which are particularly useful for web surfing.    This wireless combo was my choice because of the super scrolling feature of the mouse wheel. Actual performance of this feature is disappointing because it doesn't always activate the super scroll mode and doesn't always return to normal mode as it should. Everything else is great.    I bought this keyboard and mouse set when I was trying to improve my typing efficiency. At the time, I was writing 3 essays a week on an IBM T41 laptop without very many accessories. This product had come highly recommended by the salespeople (I was much less cynical then), so I took them on their word and bought it.    The keyboard is very comfortable to use and has a nice "quality" feel to it. I've been using it for 10 months now and the keyboard is still on the original batteries. I like the temperature readout on the keyboard as well as the numerous other features. It took a while to get used to all of the shortcuts available and I still forget some of the seldom used ones such as zoom. The mouse is also very comfortable to use, fitting my large hand nicely.
