   Siveltimen käyttö tuntuu Nintendo DS:llä luonnollisemmalta kuin aikanaan Dualshockilla. Pelissä on milloin tahansa mahdollista pysäyttää aika ja kääntyä suorasta taistelusta maalaamisen puoleen, jolloin viholliset voi kukistaa piirtämällä pommeja tai miekaniskuja kosketusnäytölle.    Not surprisingly, the painting feels a lot more natural on a Nintendo DS than it did with a Dual Shock. Whenever I want to I can pause the battlefield and turn the fight into a painting and I defeat my enemies by drawing bombs or cuts from a sword. The fights have been made easier than in the original game, but they seldom get boring. One button for attack, one defensive move and the brush is enough to keep the violence interesting.    Okamiden sets out to rise above the shadow of Okami, but it never achieves that goal. It's just too similar to the PlayStation 2 original, so it struggles to establish an identity of its own.    Målandet känns naturligare på Nintendo DS än vad det gjorde med en dualshock i handen. När som helst fryser jag slagfältet och förvandlar striden till en tavla. Genom att rita bomber och svärdshugg tvingar jag fienden på knän. Striderna är förenklade jämfört med originalets. Ändå blir de sällan långtråkiga.    I was excited when I heard there would be a "sequel" to my favorite game, Okami. I was disappointed when I heard that it would not be about Amaterasu, but her "son" Chibiterasu. But hey I had to give it a chance. Okami is a beautiful game and anything to get it more popular in the market was fine by me. Or so I thought.    The puzzles aren't anything special, mostly glorified item-fetching and using the brush skills to get you and your partner from one side of a room to the other. I wouldn't say they're boring, but they can get tedious after the third dungeon.    If you liked Okami you'll like this- it's Okami but smaller. Very little has changed beyond the new dungeons.What has changed, though, is the drawing mechanic. It's timed now and is very very picky about what you're drawing, so you have to pressing L (to start the drawing process), reach all the way across the system to grab the stylus (I'm left-handed... maybe I should get a 3DS), and draw a perfect circle in 30 seconds.    A worthy successor to its family line. Okamiden is just shear fun. Fun. Fun. Fun. Fun. I can't say anything wrong about it other than it hits its target market of younger players on the DS as well as some older players. Why they didnt make a port of the original Okami to the Nintendo DS in the first place ill never know but thankfully Nintendo gave us something to tide us over until the release of the 3DS.
