   So far I have only mentioned the environments. But the characters are equally inspired and neatly designed. I wouldn't mind framing and hanging the first boss I encounter, a gigantic blue monk, on my living room wall. As a matter of fact, while I'm writing this, I'm searching the web for merchandise from the game. The stylish combat lacks depth, which makes repetition sink in after just a few hours, but it is still fun to fly across the screen to strike down enemies with flair and test your new blades on your weary foes.    This game is a very simple hack and slash, with the controls amounting to movement and 3 buttons (attack, special, switch blade). While it is "simple" it is NOT "easy." It is very fast paced, enemies come flying, and your attacks are quick. Don't expect a ton of rpg elements, there is a story, but this game shines when it comes to the action.    'Muramasa: The Demon Blade' is a 2009 action/role-playing game released on the Nintendo Wii. I got this game back a couple of months ago to enjoy over my uni summer holidays, but had been intrigued to check it out before then.    • Slightly misaccurate translation, gameplay will be repetitive for some.

   A Masterpiece! Muramasa: The Demon Blade is in my opinion, the Most Artistic and Epic 2D game on the Nintendo Wii. New Generation Gamers today just ignore 2D games nowadays but with this game you might not want to ignore it :). The game is developed by the infamous Vanillaware (I own most of their games :D) and they are known to boast of Beautifully drawn Hi-res 2D graphics and Epic stories in their games.
