Forget the iPad: here’s the digital sketchpad most artists will want. Despite costing more than many workstations and being about as portable, the Cintiq 21UX is so much more than a sketchpad. It’s an easel and a full set of Grumbacher paints and brushes, enabling you to create final artworks, not just roughs. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
As an artist, I’ve always wanted some sort of one-to-one input when working in Photoshop or zBrush. I’ve used several of the traditional input tablets, but I’ve never been fully satisfied. I still ended up drawing on paper and scanning the results. It’s just more natural. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
Highly recommended for the graphic design professional, juggling a number of projects on tight delivery schedules. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
Wacom could have made the tablet vastly more appealing by the inclusion of the OLED buttons used in lower-end tablets, and it’s surprising that it chose not to do this on its flagship product. I've been asking for a pop-up virtual keyboard since the Cintiq first appeared, which would obviate the need for a nearby keyboard for many tasks but, alas, this has yet to make an appearance. As of November 20, 2010, the Cintiq 21UX has been on backorder for months. This is the same thing with every retailer around the world mostly due to a problem with the availability of the material in the glass of the monitor (from what I understand). This is by far the greatest monitor money can buy today and the price shows. This is the most expensive 21" monitor in history. With that said, it is invaluable for digital artists. I recomend it for all serious art-design profis. Some off-time to get use to it. Make your station rich of RAM and graphic power first. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
I have drawn digital paintings and book illustrations on many standard graphic tablets (like Intuos 3 ) and LCD tablets (like Motion Computing LE1700 ). And I must say, Cintiq is by far THE BEST device for the task. First of all, it's much easier to draw directly on the screen, especially when it comes to inking your scanned pencil sketches. It is accurate, fast, and painless! Any defect is just a matter of immediate UNDO. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
I've been wanting to get back into drawing, painting, and so forth, but more digitally as I enjoy the control and freedom it allows me (minus burning constant art supplies). I used to own a very large wacom drawing tablet years ago and although it was great for technical work, it was extremely difficult for me to ever get used to drawing and looking at two different places while doing more freeform art type work. Color Gamut is the other monitor feature you need to pay attention too. The Cintiq boasts 16.7million, the Asus ProArt IPS Monitor boasts 1.6billion. Most monitors you see at the Egg or your local brick and mortar are made using TN which gets about 16.7million for the color gamut. Reason for this is that they are cheaper to make, but they sacrifice on contrast, color gamut and viewing angle. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
