   Om vi ska tro Capcom så är krig verkligen inget helvete. Du, som en av tolv valfria stridsbegåvade generaler, slår dig genom kanonmat i form av soldater. Dessa rusar utan att tänka sig för rakt emot dig. Devil Kings är inte nytt och fräscht, det är inte snyggt och det är ta mig sjutton inte bra. Efter några tusen döda motståndare vill jag inte mer.    Have you played Dynasty Warriors lately? Well if you have not it seems Capcom have and I think they liked it. They liked it so much that they made a game in homage to it which contains all the best bits that we all know and love from the hours we spent from with the DW series.    Hur kan ett spel med ”Devil” i titeln gå så fel? Varför har inte utvecklarna gått sin egen väg och gjort något nytt, istället för att stirra på Dynasty Warriors som även det är uppbyggt efter samma principer: döda och gör det snabbt. Dålig grafik, jätteenformiga strider, noll djup och världens mest irriterande trash-talking karaktärerna emellan, borde inte locka någon. Ett spel från helvetet, indeed. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

   Grafikens kvalitet har blivit klart lidande av de många karaktärerna som rör sig på banorna, och att filmsekvenserna hoppar mellan olika stilar drar inte precis upp betyget. Förutom att Devil Kings helt klart känns dagen efter, genom blåsor på fingrarna efter allt tryckande och träningsvärk i underarmarna så lämnar spelet inget bestående intryck.    Devil Kings had the opportunity to do something different and revive the genre but has made an almost complete copy of Dynasty Warriors, complete with the same problems, none of which have been addressed. If you’ve never played a DW game then I think you’ll find this too shallow, and its frustratingly crap control system will drive you nuts.    Given the popularity of fantasy fiction I have always wondered why there are not considerable more games based around a fantasy theme, there are a lot but somehow I always thought there would be more, still Devil Kings is a worthy addition to the genre. Set in a sort of Feudal Japanese setting with a liberal use of the anime style of animation in some of the story telling scenes you get to play as one of six characters each of whom have different fighting styles.    This game is essentially a Koei "Empires" game; you play stages through Japan (though it apparently isn't Japan in Devil Kings) and take over the whole land.
