   Stumbled across this hard drive when my old Mac 320GB 5400rpm drive became full. For the little extra in cost I thought I would give it a go. So far I'm very happy with this hard drive upgrade. My computer started up the first few times at about the same speed as the previous hdd, but since then it seems to boot in only a few seconds. The applications I use consistently open instantly. 3. Fast, easy to install in Macbook Pro 5,1

   I replaced the stock 250gb in my macbook pro 5,1. This shipped with current firmware installed, so no problems there. I used an external enclosure and used Carbon Copy to clone it and replace the master drive. It worked exactly as it should. As other users have mentioned, it takes a few reboots to see speed benefits, but they are definitely there. Haven't encountered any problems. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

   Har använt disken i ca en månad nu och den är snäppet snabbare än en standard Momentus 7200rpm hårddisk som jag använde tidigare. Det som gör disken speciel är den extra 4GB disken förutom den normala 500GB disken. Vad den extra 4GB Disken gör är att den lär sig vad ni använder mest och gör så program/spel/Windows startar/öppnar snabbare Den laddar Windows nästan lika snabbt som en normal billigare SSD disk.    I have SSDs in my desktop and my wifes twin drive bay 17" laptop and know the speed benefits gained. This drive does not perform as well as those with only 8gb of SSD cache. However most of the time, and especially at system boot, the speed benefits are plainly obvious. This drive is a great compromise for speed and size. If you just need speed stick to a proper SSD.
