   The Western Digital Scorpio Blue 1TB (WD10JPVT) is noticeable for two reasons: it packs a 1TB of space in a 2.5” drive and is only 9.5mm thin. This means it fits in the majority of notebooks sold, which is definitely not something that can be said about the previous-generation 2.5” drives with their thicker 12.5mm height.    I just installed this drive in my 13" MacBook Pro (Unibody) and things look good so far. BTW, this drive is 12.5mm high which will NOT fit in all laptops. The unibody line of MacBook Pro's will however accept this thickness - even the 13". 1TB of space in a laptop is pretty awesome especially at this price. I can say however that the the drive is noticeably louder than the stock 250GB drive that came with the MBP - (especially during read and write). Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

   • Price for the size is great. The "SecurePark" capability of parking the read/write head while the drive is off or asleep is a really great idea for laptop drives.
   • This drive is definitely louder than my previous 250GB drive. However I have not compared it's noise level to another 1TB 2.5" drive, so this is not a very good test.
