When I first cast my eyes on the Antec Skeleton I was in awe at it's looks. Totally removed from anything we have seen before, my initial feeling was that it would make an ideal enclosure for a test bench. The more I played with it though, the more it became apparent that the Antec Skeleton would not be suitable for someone who swaps out components on a monthly basis, never mind daily! Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
You merely have to look at the Skeleton to decide if it's for you. It is stunning, but it's not the most practical of cases – anyone with kids or pets may want to steer clear lest they ï¬nd their pride and joy pureed. But, if you want something that makes your PC stand out, this is the case for you. Just make sure that no one sits on it. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
We have to give Antec points for bucking the mainstream: The Skeleton is a seriously cool-looking case. The motherboard rests horizontally, so the case’s footprint is much wider than that of a standard tower chassis, but it’s also shorter. The open design and sliding component tray make it easy to swap parts in and out, and installation is quick and relatively painless. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
One of the most unique cases ever, the Skeleton offers easy access if you frequently upgrade components. But its open-air design leaves your components vulnerable to spills, kids, and other hazards. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
Using the Asus AT3N7A-i mobo with the Atom 330 dual core and Nvidia ION graphics makes this mini rock! Great HD video, super sound, 8 USB ports, HDMI, Fiber Optic connections and more.I use a USB DVD burner and USB Floppy. Also an external hard drive for backing up. It is fast with openSUSE 11.4 and fair when running Windows XP in a virtual machine. Hmm next up maybe Antec Full Size Skeleton with AMD 6 core mobo and 8 gig of ram. Enjoy. IMO, the only rflaw is the HDD mount. My Corsair PSU has maybe 1/4 inch of clearance under mobo tray, and I need to reach pretty far inside to get to the power switch and AC plug. Not loving all that AC power next to my components (sure, it's insulated, but still...). Lue Lisää Translate to suomi
Assembly is a bit strange at first, because of the unorthodox case design. Affixing the motherboard is pretty straightforward, using the provided motherboard standoffs. You'll see that the motherboard tray has a few holes in it, giving you lots of options on how to thread cables through. Once you've put the motherboard on, you'll feel like there's something missing.
