   Iomega's eGo is an excellent addition to a crowded market. Great performance, a comprehensive array of tools, and stylish and durable design means it offers excellent value for money.    The 7200rpm drive proved its worth in our benchmarking tests, where it achieved random read/write speeds of 11.175/16.519MB/s under FireWire 800, and 11.326/12.491MB/s with USB. Our only reservation is the price. The Western Digital My Passport Studio 1TB is twice the capacity and costs less. That's not to say Iomega's is poor value for money. Far from it.    I ordered the "Iomega eGo 1TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive Red". I needed more storage capacity, I have three previous Iomega HDs models and the body (case or shell) is made of aluminum, BUT NOT THIS ONE, is good that it came with the "Grip Band" to add more protection, but I am disappointed, I was expecting it to be constructed the same way (aluminum) as the other ones, but this is made of thin PLASTIC, it looks fragile, I guess that's why I couldn't see it...    Jag tycker disken känns riktigt rapp trots att det bara är en 5400rpm disk som sitter i. Tester (xbench i OSX) visar också den är snabb när jag jämför med mitt gamla noname chassi med esata och en 500GB 7200 rpm disk. Disken är också tyst. Det som är minus är att den är lite stor för att vara en 2,5 tums disk samt att man får betala mycket för fw800 porten. Lue Lisää Translate to suomi

   Gave as a gift. A Thinkpad R30 model would not see the drive. I tried on my Vista Home Viao LT and had problems with a wireless mouse afterward, plus the drive would not show up unless you used both plugs (2.0 & 3.0) or just the 3.0 plug. Took me 3 or 4 re-boots and deleting drivers for USB ports to get it back up. Afterward, it seems to work great, though I am not sure I will keep it if it can cause problems.
