   S ony has been a clear winner in this space for a long time. And truly speaking there is little initiative save for some half-assed scramble to somehow make it in the same space.    I love this camera. It is user friendly for those who are not tech savvy. However, it also offers advanced features for those that are more fluent with photography and videography.    After using this camera for a while, I already have more than a dozen DVDs, there are no way of playing the DVDs in my computers, tried various versions of Windows with no luck, can't play them in DVD player either, the only way is to play it in the Camcorder itself, the software supplied by Canon labeled as "Digital Video" solutions disk is a lie, it doesn't do video, only handle images.    I purchased this camera after doing little research. I checked Kim Komando's website and she gave it a favorable review, and seemed to recommend this camera. I also own a Canon Rebel XL that I very much like, so I decided to buy this model. I should mention that my purpose for buying this camera was to make take video of our kid's school and sporting events, and load them to my new lap top. Video editing was not a priority.
